From 6th September 2023 Renewal of the Playground
The council is about to start construction works at this park which will deliver the following:-
- A renewed Play area, with new play equipment and safety surfacing, at the top end of the existing Playground
- Minor changes to the boundary fence
Therefore, for public safety, part of the Playground will be closed off, (with fencing), to allow the contractor, KOMPAN Ltd, to proceed with the building work.
The Paddling Pool is to be shut down for the same reason and will be replaced with a SplashPad installation later in the year.
The Playground works will start on 6th September 2023, and completion is planned for the end of September. The agreed working hours for the contractor are
7.30am till 5.00pm (weekdays), with no noisy operations or deliveries permitted before 8.00am.
Alternative play facilities are located at Clapham Common. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We will endeavour to minimise the disruption.
