Last year, CPP staff, trustees and volunteers spoke to local people to find out what sort of activities they would like to have available locally. Many respondents came up with ideas for projects, particularly those focused on young people as well as fun activities such as arts and crafts and dominos evenings.
To follow up on this, CPP will be hosting two sessions in February, both at the Community Resource Centre on Kings Avenue. Anyone who are interested in helping us run more community activities is invited to come along. As well as looking at new ideas, CPP will be keen to find more volunteers to support our TLC project which helps isolated and vulnerable older people.
If you can help out for half a day a week, you can make a real difference to the lives of older people.
CPP will provide training and support where necessary and meet any reasonable travel costs you may incur.
People volunteer with us for a number of reasons: some want to help those in need and others want to gain some practical experience that can be helpful when looking for work.
If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering, and is unable to come to one of our events, please contact Ching Wah Wong at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 020 8678 5922.
